Katawa Shoujo, second post.
Well, I just finished my first run through of this game since I played the beta almost 2 years ago. I did not really do that much with the beta, but I thought it was a good premise for a break through game. The topic of that you 're in a school for the disabled, and you are to go though, make friends, decide your future and find love is a new one to me. I should have finished this game much sooner, but life had other plans.
I originally wanted to go with Hanako, but that changed quickly to Lily.Lily, to me was pretty much a natural choice to me, compared to say some of the girls I know. Classic, reserved and refined. Always has aloof demeanor and always knows what should be done and said. As I moved closer the more I saw that she has flaws in her outward appearance and that made her more human than I expected. This had caught me off guard and really put down my barriers I had with this game. I was really into this character, I thought I could see her good end at the end.
The game moved on and rather quickly towards the end that I could not be with her and then she left. This first run through with Lily has really put the screws in me as I had in the game say "Goodbye" as she left for Scotland forever. Just in the end, me and her friend Hanako stared into the darkness as the car rolled away. Something about seeing someone off never to meet again hit me. Not too many things can get to me as this one did as I thought about the things I experienced and the implications that this had. All knowing that saying goodbye for the last time, is what you both know in the game as such, ending it as such.
Well, this had brought be to one of the good things why I like "Megatokyo", where Piro thinks about Kimiko where she had left him, he says paraphrased, "In those dating games you can always hit the reset button, but in life there is no such button." That point, I decided to start the game again and go and find my happiness in Katawa Shoujo with everybody. In my real life, I have once had a rather short time, like Hisao did, only to see her leave, never to meet again. This time, I will find my happiness in another one's life.

Car Update for 2012
Just simply say that before I am driving to ALA 2012, I have to look at my car. I got a nifty little headlight I got for Christmas, and I am putting it to good use. Looking for trouble on my 2007 Chevrolet HHR 1LT.
Last month during a really "bad" snowing, I was driving to work, the closer I went south, the road conditions went there as well. I had a little skidding trying to stop halfway in Bosque Farms, NM at a light. I decided to just keep going and hoping the road would get better. Surprise, it did not! I was less than 300m (~yards) from work when a truck pulled in front of me, skidding around. I tried to avoid it, but my car skidded and I hit the curb. 2 weeks and $250 later, I got my car back.
Pretty much the next day I went to El Paso, TX to see family (12/23 ish) and there are another large snow storm coming. I had to leave pretty early just to get through the nearly impassible I-25 from Dona Ana through Valencia counties to get home. This is what my car looked like the next day, coated with ice from the freezing rain.
Now, two weeks later, I found a list of things that have to get fixed.
That's about it for now, just an update.

- The shocks in the struts need to be replaced, as they are leaking.
- The radiator needs to be replaced.
- The grease from the busted CV joint needs to cleaned out from the car.
- The exhaust system needs to be replaced.
- The 100,000 mile maintenance needs to be done.
That's about it for now, just an update.
